Background: I grew up in upstate New York (finger lakes region), transplanted to Reedbsurg WI for high school, moved to Madison for college, and have stayed here ever since. My undergrad was an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science double major. Currently, I'm finishing my MS in Forestry. My research is in computer modeling of forests. Yes, it's a big change but for me it sure was the right one. After I finish my MS I will go on to my PhD. After that it gets a bit fuzzy.

I'm married; We're polyamorous. We have three children: eight, three, and four months. To be technical, the oldest is my stepdaughter.

Hobbies: Playing with BSD operating systems. Learning new programming languages. Revision control systems. Trying to build a better spam-eating system. Reading science fiction/fantasy. Games (Chess, Go, Magic the Gathering). Some outdoorsy things (Hiking, Canoing).   Send me a message!
