These things are a bit difficult aren't they? Well, I guess I will start off with the easy stuff - I work in the IT Field and I am in a lower level management position. I run a team of 7 people. I went into the Marine Corps straight out of high school (which was in Los Angeles, California). I was in the Cryptologic field in the Marines (basically lots of computer work). I haven't yet finished my degree and I am attending school now.

I did something a bit silly and took 11 credits this semester. Last spring I took 9 and did well but this semester seems a bit more difficult. I have Physics, Calculus and Spanish. My GPA (after 44 credits) isn't bad at 3.47. I don't think I will do 11 credits again though.

Because I am in school (or work) I haven't been going to the gym quite as much as I normally do (which is 4 to 6 times a week) and so I've dropped down to 1 maybe 2. That really sucks but once the semester ends, I'll be right back in the gym. I miss it, I really do.

Otherwise, I guess I'm a fairly normal guy. I actually don't have cable (haven't for some time) so I read a lot. I read everything from (some) technical books, to (quite a few) management/business books, to (a fair share) of fiction books. I like Kundera, Calvino, Hemingway, Kafka, and a few Japanese writers. And I'll admit it...I've read the Harry Potter books.

I'll will of course say I did that because I have 2 kids. When I was in the Marine Corps I married young. Predictably it ended. I actually maintain a pretty good relationship (meaning it isn't bitter) with my ex and I see/have my kids a good portion of the year. They actually live in Florida though (having moved there after we divorced a few years ago). I love my kids a great deal (fairly obvious thing to say, but I figured I'd say it anyway) and have pictures of them around my house and desk at work.

What else is there? Well, I like art and I like to travel. I have a few original art pieces in my house and I usually go to art museums a few times a year. I love to travel when and where I can. Camping is fun too but I usually only do it once maybe twice a year. Last time I took the kids to Luray Caverns in Virgina. They had a lot more fun at the Jelly Stone camp ground (which is a bit like cheating when it comes to camping) than they did in the caves (water slides are hard to beat) but still they had a blast.

I have written a few short stories that have been published in various places such as 3 AM Magazine, Identity Theory, Write This, Juked, and few others. I really don't write as often any more but it is a fun and sometimes rewarding hobby (pipe dream).

And what am I looking for? That is a really good question. I don't think I really have a set list or something really defined already in my head. There are somethings I am certain that I would want. I would like to meet a confident woman with aspirations of her own. Someone who loves to learn and do things (like hiking, travel) and somebody who can take my brand of humor (a bit dry, sarcastic). I am not in any rush for anything but that isn't to say I am against commitment or anything like that, I am just not about to rush into something (I did that once...when I was younger...). I'd like to be a bit wiser this time around.

Beyond all of that, it is true I make good mac and cheese. And crepes. And a few other things. I actually enjoy cooking. Cleaning on the other hand...(I am not suggesting I am a horrible mess, my god, my mom/kids/roommate would kill me if I were, I'm just saying I'm don't really enjoy doing it very much...which probably makes me more 'typical' guy)...however I hate, absolutely hate, dirty bathrooms and kitchens (and I don't eat anywhere but dining room/living room) so I always keep those clean. It is laundry that kills me...so, thank god for Cleaners.
