Looking for friendship, companionship, maybe more? I love being outdoors, going for walks, hiking, going to Rockies games, the mountains, the ocean, even playing in the park & being a kid once in awhile. Passionate about social issues and very involved in politics (progressive/Democratic). I thrive on creativity, and I'm a writer, so brief prose are not my strong suit (I write a lot, say a lot less)

Favorite things to do: besides being outdoors on a sunny day--going to the gym; spending time with nieces and nephews (so--kids!); snuggling and playing with my 4-legged "children"; intelligent conversation, debate and silliness with friends; reading; learning new things and doing new things; watching movies--especially suspense/thrillers/political & social dramas/documentaries (yep, a tomboy--I HATE most "chick flicks!").

Friends would describe me as thoughtful, extremely compassionate, very creative (but also "cerebral" and practical), and highly intelligent. I'm always friendly, but I can be a little bit quiet/shy when I first meet people. Once we start talking? Those who know me would say that I'm very down-to-earth/"real"-- easy to be around and be oneself with (no pretensions, and I don't enjoy pretentious people), with a great sense of humor that shines once I get to know you.

You: Must be open-minded, "real," honesty and respect(for self and others) is a must, intelligent, have a sense of humor and like to laugh, and have curiosity and passion about something in life. Hopefully, you're also aiming to make yourself and the world a better place.

While I don't have any appearance "must-haves," and I don't tend to "judge a book by its cover," I definitely have a thing for chocolate--in varying shades. And while I am drawn to the darker chocolates, even white chocolate is nice once in awhile! :)
